Our unique Super-Quad pickups contain four hand-wound coils which, when connected to our patented Tri-Logic switching system, allow the user to alternate between the three most iconic pickup configurations ever implemented into the entire music industry;
Green: SPLIT COIL [Old school Precision Bass]
Red: 2 x SINGLE COIL [Mid 70’s Jazz Bass]
Blue: PARALLEL HUMBUCKER [StingRay]
Simplicity is guaranteed with the use of our RGB colour LED (housed inside each Super-Quad) which gives clear indication of the selected pickup mode.
Versatility is ensured with unrestricted access to all three of the classic tones you've heard on millions of records; in a single pickup. In addition to this, there is tonnes of room to expand upon them by taking advantage of the fifteen uniquely possible, and different pickup configurations.
Due to the innovative Tri-Logic switch, there is no change in output volume.
Contrary to common perception due to the RGB coil selection LEDs, our Super-Quad pickups are completely passive. That is because our aim when designing the pickup was to achieve the three classic tones within a single housing. Because of the high performance electronics, the pickups can be used with active preamps as well as passive circuitry.
Our standard ranges are available in 4 & 5 string models. 6 String, fanned fret, custom material & finishes etc are available from our Super-Quad custom shop.
The Blue (Humbucker) and Green (2 x Single Coil) are both set as parallel.
The Red (Split Coil) is designed to be a fully open vintage P Bass. It was designed like this because the tone change between red and green is much greater, providing a wider tonal variety. It is this open coil voicing that gives nuances and overtones that just are not available when hum cancelling; compromising accesses the broader tone spectrum provided with a true single coil. Consequently, when using the red singularly, the bass comes with the idiosyncrasies of a vintage P Bass. This entails when positioning yourself next to the amp there will be an increase in ‘noise’. Tube lights, dimmer switches and other RF emitting electronics will also have the same effect, however when both pickups are in Red and engaged they will hum cancel against themselves, but once again, you do lose some of the broader tones in the spectrum.

Customisable housings - rectangular or angled for compatibility with straight and Fan-Fret basses, other shapes providing all Super-Quad components fit inside.
Custom material and finishing options including bespoke timbers or lacquered if so desired.

Each component of our Super-Quad pickup is manufactured entirely within the UK. It is then hand wound and assembled from our workshop in Kent, South-East England. Classy and extremely robust, these pickups are the perfect accompaniment to any bass whether it’s a classic style, modern or more exotic.
Tour-ready pickup housing, made from our unique recipe of pure carbon fibre and nylon, our Classic range are very difficult to scratch and near impossible to dent. Due to it's compound properties the pickups are self-shielding too.
When ordered for retail, each of our Super-Quad pickups comes individually in its own sleek, branded box. Which includes tri-logic switch, 12 pin push-connecting wire loom, fixing screws & springs and A4 wire diagram (also downloadable from our luthier page).
