Introducing the all new Enfield Belladonna

All new for 2020, the Enfield Belladonna.
With a chambered mahogany body, Maple facing and 32” scale length, Belladonna has been designed and built for those players that enjoy super lightweight construction (2.7-3.0kg) along with easy access to both the high and low ends of this amazingly fast and responsive instrument.
With the body and neck drawn in closer together, her medium (32”) scale length enables the Belladonna to advance our Enfield range further, covering even more playing styles.
The neck comes with a 5 piece laminate construction with premium North American Quarter sawn hard rock maple and phenolic stringers.
Phenolic fingerboards are fitted as standard for its stability, even tone and durability.
Front mounted Switchcraft Jack and XLR sockets coupled with a 3 band non stacked Glockenklang onboard preamp fitted as standard
This bass weighs between 2.7-3.0kg and has been designed for the ultimate balance and comfort.
The Belladonna comes fitted as standard with Elite Stadium Series strings in a 30-90 gauge.
Also available as a 5 string.
Electronics
The Belladonna is fitted with our amazingly versatile Sims Super-Quad pickup system, an adaptation of our Super-8 pickup.
Connected to our renowned Tri-Logic switching system, get ready for a whole world of tonal capabilities as the Super-Quads are your new all-inclusive tone generators.
We teamed up with Glockenklang preamps for their glass-like clarity and ease of use and we offer their 3 band active onboard preamps to further enhance the capabilities of the Super-Quad pickups. Other preamps are available by request as a custom option.
The bass comes with a front mounted jack and XLR sockets by Switchcraft.
Although these are active preamps, passive mode can be engaged by the push/pull volume knob and when a 3 band (5 knob) is fitted the treble control becomes a passive tone rolloff in the passive position.
Hardware
The Belladonna comes with custom monorail bridge units and Hipshot machine heads in nickel/black as standard, other custom options are available
The bass comes as standard with 16.5mm string spacing at the bridge.
We use Y key Hipshot HB6 machine heads to give the ultimate in stability with all the advantages of modern design and engineering that Hipshot do so well.
We also offer a USA made Hipshot String X-tender (drop tuner) as an upgrade.
Neck design
The Belladonna neck is made from a 5 piece laminate construction which includes premium North American quarter sawn hard rock Maple and Phenolic stringers.
They are fitted with a double action truss rod as standard, with adjustment at the heel of the neck.
With its slim profile and silky feel, these necks are optimised for fast, fluid and comfortable playing.
All Belladonna necks are fitted with 24 medium-jumbo frets, made out of 2.4mm (0.094") thick silver nickel, and custom made phenolic nuts are fitted as standard to ensure maximum sustain and balance across each string.
Nut widths for the Belladonna is 40mm (1.574") with a depth of 21mm (0.827").
The fretboard has a radius of 16” for even response and playability.
Our Belladonna bass comes as standard with a phenolic fingerboard with side edge Dot Markers.
Other fingerboard materials are available as well as custom inlay work.
Fretboard LEDs are a popular alternative to standard fret markers.
Headstock
The Belladonna inherited its stylish headstock shape from our Cannon bass range featuring the machine head configuration of two-a-side (4 string).
Machine heads come custom prepared and courtesy of Hipshot USA.
Our factory-made Enfield string trees are also fitted as standard to ensure balanced string tension across each string for ultimate tonality.
